Who?

Aiden Greanya

Aiden Greanya

Growing up in a mountain biking family, I have been a member of the community for as long as I can remember. I fell in love with the sport on my first ride, and that love has not faltered since! I started downhill racing at age 12 under the mentorship of my dad. Since Calgary did not have any support for aspiring racers, my family founded Drift Racing. Through this program, we offered race-specific coaching and sought to build a strong community of like-minded individuals. I began the program as an athlete, and have since transitioned into the assistant coach role.

Available for:

Youth/Adult Coaching, Aiden will also be part of the Youth Race & Adventure Team Coaching Staff

Availability:

Aiden is available weekday afternoons and evenings and some Weekends (subject to prior booking).

Please contact us via email for availability.

Specializations:

I center my coaching around the application of fundamental skills to areas that are not-so-fundamental. In conjunction with this, my lessons focus heavily on cornering, line selection, speed progression and jumping. I have an abundance of experience coaching younger children but can extend my knowledge to accommodate all ages.

Other Stuff:

BC Cup U-15 Overall Winner, 2018

Focusing on a positive outcome, and full recovery was his only goal. Dreaming of returning to an active healthy life and riding his bike was a strong influence and helped him deal with the challenges he faced. Taking what he learned from the year long recovery, he is feeling very thankful, and fortunate to able to help others enjoy being on the bike, and enjoying life to it’s fullest.

Scotty loves being out in nature, either on his bike or hiking. We have been riding with him for many years and his good humor and relaxed approach to (seemingly) everything, makes every ride he is on better.  This in combination with his knowledge of the local classics, and cross country MTB trails translates to being the an ideal guide for your Mountain biking adventure, or a great instructor for bringing safety and control to your riding.
